Laura Huhtinen-Hildén to speak at the Finnish Children’s Culture Days in Tampere

Accessibility in children’s arts and leisure activities will take center stage at the Accessibility Seminar, held on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in Tampere as part of the Finnish Association of Children’s Cultural Centers’ Spring Days.

Among the featured speakers is Laura Huhtinen-Hildén, a researcher and expert in early childhood education. Known for her work on inclusion, participation, and well-being through the arts, Huhtinen-Hildén will bring a research-based perspective to the discussion on how arts and hobby activities can support children’s sense of belonging and equity.

The seminar is aimed at professionals working in children’s cultural centers as well as coordinators of the Finnish Model for Leisure Activities. It will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge, experiences, and strategies to make cultural and artistic activities more accessible to all children and young people.
