Current research Music sound hammock showed that music group activities can strengthen capacities for interaction in families with young children. The research findings highlight the potential of group music activities to support well-being of families living in challenging life situations.

The researchers suggest utilising music practices and interdisciplinary possibilities when developing social services. There is a need to rethink professional practice not only in social and health fields, but also in the cultural and artsfields. For example music education to reach out to people and contexts beyond schools and traditional educational institutions.
